What is your Return Policy?

At The Expedition Vault, we want every customer to shop with confidence. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ve made returns and refunds simple and fair. Here’s how it works:

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

  • If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping cost.
  • If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll be responsible for return shipping fees.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We’ll provide a prepaid return label and once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue either a full refund or a replacement—including any original shipping costs.

4. Changed Your Mind?

If you no longer want the item, you can return it within 30 days—as long as it's unused, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition. You’ll need to handle the return shipping, and once we receive and inspect it, we’ll refund the product cost (excluding shipping).

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for banks or credit card companies to process and reflect the refund.

If it’s been over 10 business days since your refund was approved and you still don’t see it, contact us at support@TheExpeditionVault.com and we’ll look into it immediately.

6. Restocking Fees

In some cases, a restocking fee may apply depending on the item and return reason. If applicable, we’ll clearly communicate this during your return request process.

The AT Gold includes a True All Metal Mode

The All Metal Mode is amazing for prospecting because it allows the greatest possible depth and sensitivity. It also allows a continuous audio response to provide the operator to hear the most subtle detection signals produced by faint targets.

The AT Gold is a Motion All Metal detector

Any slight motion of the search coil is required to continue detection, although static detection of targets can still be accomplished while in Pinpoint mode. The AT Gold includes manual and automatic Ground Balance plus an added exclusive Ground Balance Window feature to enhance the detector’s performance in highly mineralized ground, where gold is most often found.  

In addition to its True All Metal Mode

The AT Gold includes 2 Discrimination Modes, making it a skilled coin and relic hunting device. When selecting either the DISC 1 or DISC 2 mode, the operator gains more Tone ID information from objects in addition to the ability to discriminate undesirable trash targets (e.g. nails, foil, pull tabs).

  • High-Resolution Iron Discrimination - Provides 40 points of iron resolution—controlled with touchpads and viewed as a digital number on the LCD—for the most precise ability to separate a good target from iron trash.
  • Adjustable Threshold - This allows the user to manually adjust the audio threshold (constant background sound) to better hear targets.
  • Pro Mode Audio - Proportional audio response and Tone Roll Audio features provide more target information.
  • Iron Audio™ - This allows the user to hear discriminated iron and to audibly identify problematic flat iron objects like bottle caps and washers.
  • All-Metal Iron Audio™ - A Garrett exclusive feature that allows users to audibly identify iron objects while operating in a True All-Metal Mode.
  • Ground Balance (Manual) - This allows the user to manually adjust the detector’s ground balance to reduce the detrimental effects of ground mineralization.
  • Ground Balance Window™ - A Garrett exclusive feature that allows users to “spread” the ground balance setting to reduce the response to subtle ground variations.
  • Fast Track™ Ground Balance - Automatic feature that allows users to quickly ground balance the detector in mineralized soil conditions.
